We would like to welcome you on the homepage of our chessclub. We are glad about everyone who is enthusiastic about chess and would like to take part in our regularly occuring rapid and blitz tournaments. Please feel free to come around!<\/h3>\n

For the past 30 years our club has been a renowned address within the Hamburg chess association. With about 90 members and four teams, we cover all playing abilities starting from fide masters down to beginner level.<\/p>\n

At youth level we focus on chess groups at different grammar schools in Hamburg (Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasiums, Charlotte-Paulsen-Gymnasium).<\/p>\n

With the Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasiums we were able to win the school chess championship in Hamburg, recently five times in a row,and our first youth team, which could win the German championship in 1987, could achieve the direct resurgence to first league!<\/p>\n

If you would like to, just come over – Mondays usually from 7 pm. (please have a look at our calendar for more exact information). We are located in Fahrenkamp<\/span><\/a> 27, 20535 Hamburg. On Fridays at 16:30 we offer a school chess group at Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasiums<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n
